11月14日NBA例行賽繼續進行，馬刺在主場迎來了灰狼的挑戰，在比賽第二節比賽里灰狼球員Towns和馬刺球員Gay發生了口角。

第二節還有5分08秒Towns籃下錯位進攻Gay，Aldridge補防過來已經為時已晚，裁判已經吹哨。Gay在跟裁判抱怨兩句後，直接把不滿對著Towns發洩起來。

Gay認為Towns對自己有肘擊進攻犯規的嫌疑，但是裁判卻吹罰自己防守犯規。

兩人幾乎嘴對嘴的開始互飈垃圾話，雙方隊友，裁判見狀立馬把兩人拉開，避免事態進一步惡化。最終兩人被裁判各打五十大板，吹罰兩人一人一次技術犯規。

值得一提的是此前Towns因為和Embiid衝突被聯盟禁賽2場，如今又和Gay劍拔弩張，他需要變得更冷靜。
